At first glance you would probably say Punta Cana. It has a hugely popular International Airport with flights to and from worldwide destinations growing year by year. It boasts a world class Marina as well as internationally known shops and restaurants. A choice of Golf Courses, luxury villas and condos priced into the millions of dollars and attractions galore. However its growing popularity comes at a price and not just the rental cost of a beachfront condo or apartment.
Catering to the high net worth clients, the real market for Punta Cana means expensive restaurants, high class shops with designer prices and, for many, a sense of isolation in a morass of people only wanting to socialize with those in their immediate group.
Of course, you could always choose an all inclusive hotel but for stays of more than a week or two this is not a good option and certainly not an opportunity to enjoy exploring anything outside the confines of the resort.

Vacationers here can enjoy 6 kilometers of white sand beaches and two professional golf courses. You can walk to a whole range of international quality restaurants with menus to suit all tastes. Furthermore the coast road is relatively free of traffic so is safe and pleasant to walk.
What else?
Almost anywhere you could possibly want to go is accessible from the coastal highway, which cuts through the town of Juan Dolio and follows the shoreline. Golf, tennis, horseback riding, scuba diving, 4-wheeling, walking or swimming along the beach as well as restaurants are all within minutes. The capital city of the Dominican Republic with all its attractions and places of historical interest is also just 45 minutes away.
